I have layered with other Prois items such as the sherpa jacket or the sherpa vest. (Under layers as well). I am in Northern WI so I know exactly what you mean. Currently I use a mens jacket. I cannot find any camo hunting gear in wool or wool blend. I live and hunt in the Adirondacks of New York so my hunting gear has to keep me warm below zero. Any suggestions??? I just bought my husband some First Light . It is super light weight and can layer without bulking up.. but no womens jackets, pants, or bibs..just mens. One time he even called in the javelina while we were archery hunting. It was so funny. I remember the boys fighting with each other and me getting frustrated with them, but looking back, I wouldn't change a thing. SNACKS! Can't emphasize that enough.
